William Grant Still - Summerland an important release
This is an album of exception music, played exceptionally well. All nine of the works on this release are world premiere recordings. They add significantly to Still's catalog. And to our understanding of this remarkable composer.
Jean-Luc Tingaud brings out the drama in Franck
Drama conveyed through lush and imaginative orchestration, is at the heart of each of these works. And Tingaud’s vision brings those dramas to life.
Roussel - The Spider's Banquet an Aural Feast
If you’re not familiar with Roussel, this disc might be a good place to start. The Spider’s Banquet just may entice you into Roussel’s charming musical web.
